Work Life Balance
Gen-Probe recognizes the need for a good work/life balance and offers flexible work hours to help accommodate pressing personal matters and outside appointments.

Employee Activities
We believe in hard work and offer much in return in the form of employee events, activities and amenities. During the year, we have a company golf tournament, sponsor a softball league, participate in the annual UCSD Cancer Center Invitational surfing contest, and offer summer and holiday events for employees. In addition, we offer free yoga, aerobics and pilates classes in our state-of-the-art, corporate fitness center.

Our quarterly all-hands meetings give you an opportunity to interact with our CEO and senior management, demonstrating that we understand the importance of transparent communication from company leadership.

Community Relations & Support
Gen-Probe believes it is important to support the communities in which employees live and work. We provide financial support to local groups to improve science and math education, the provision of healthcare services, and local economic development. We also partner with a variety of non-profit organizations to raise money for charities. Many of our employees are active volunteers in the San Diego community.
